ICT Police put drug peddler behind bars, 20 litres liquor seized

ISLAMABAD, Apr 05 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Bani Gala Police have intensified operations against drug peddlers under the special campaign “Nasha Ab Nahi,” arresting an accused and recovering 20 litres of illicit liquor.

An official told APP on Sunday that, following directions of senior officers, SHO Bani Gala Inspector Asif Khan, along with his team including ASI Imtiaz Ahmed, HC Muhammad Akram and HC Waheed Abbas, conducted a successful operation in the Nogazi Jagiot area.
He said the police arrested accused Aftab Hussain, son of Muhammad Saeed, resident of Dhoke Kalriyan, Darkala Nilore Islamabad.
The official said 20 litres of locally manufactured liquor were recovered from the possession of the accused.
He said a case has been registered against the accused under FIR No. 170/26 dated 04.04.2026 under sections 3/4 of the Prohibition (Enforcement of Hadd) Order at Bani Gala Police Station.
During further investigation, the accused was found to be a previous record holder, involved in multiple drug-related cases, including cases registered at Koral and Nilore police stations.
The official said further investigation was underway, adding that Islamabad Police were continuing operations to eliminate drug menace from society.
SHO Bani Gala urged citizens to cooperate with police and report any suspicious activity, assuring that the identity of informants would be kept confidential.
