Minister reviews measures after rains in Murree
LAHORE, Apr 04 (APP):Provincial Minister for Communications and Works Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth, while reviewing the situation in Murree after recent rains, said that the C&W Department staff remained fully active and minor landslides at four different location were cleared in a timely manner.
He directed the concerned authorities to ensure continuous monitoring of landslides on Murree roads and keep the drainage system fully functional to effectively deal with any emergency situation.
The minister further directed that all possible measures should be taken to facilitate tourists in Murree and to ensure safe and smooth travel for the public at all costs.
Moreover, Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth issued instructions to all field formations of the C&W Department regarding ongoing development projects.
The minister emphasised that strict compliance with safety and quality standards must be ensured and no negligence or lapse will be tolerated.
He also directed that effective and continuous monitoring of all projects should be carried out, and all safety SOPs must be fully implemented at project sites.
