Guard killed as wall collapses after heavy rains in Vehari

MULTAN, Apr 04 (APP): A security guard was killed after a mud wall collapsed on Vehari Road following torrential rains, rescue officials said on Saturday.

According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson, the incident took place at the mixture plant of MRC Construction Company near a motorway bridge, where the wall caved in due to heavy downpour.

As a result, Fateh Sher (54) was trapped under the debris and died on the spot.

Rescue teams reached the site and pulled out the body from the rubble.

Officials said efforts were made to revive the victim through cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) but he could not survive.

Police concerned were informed and after legal formalities, handed over the body to the heirs.
