Commissioner inspects city drains, ensures relief measures for residents

SARGODHA, Apr 04 (APP): Commissioner Sargodha Division, Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Saturday toured various parts of the city following recent rains to assess the drainage situation.

Accompanied by MD WASA, Abu Bakr Imran, the commissioner visited low-lying areas, major roads and key squares where rainwater had accumulated, directing staff to ensure immediate drainage and keep machinery operational.

Hafiz Shaukat Ali emphasized that citizen relief was the top priority and warned that any negligence would not be tolerated. He instructed field teams to remain vigilant and take prompt action on public complaints.

Officials briefed the commissioner, saying all available resources were being deployed to drain water with levels already reduced at several locations.

The commissioner reaffirmed that the district administration and WASA would continue coordinated efforts to resolve rain-related issues across the city without delay.
