RAWALPINDI, Apr 03 (APP):District courts in Rawalpindi awarded death sentences to two convicts and life imprisonment to another in three separate murder cases, along with fines and compensation to victims’ families.
In one case, a convict was sentenced to life imprisonment over a 2023 murder in Kallar Syedan, along with five years imprisonment for attempted murder and fines. The court also ordered payment of Rs. 1.474 million as arsh and Rs. 110,000 as daman.
In another case, a man was awarded death sentence for killing his father-in-law in Dhamyal, along with Rs. 500,000.0 compensation.
Similarly, another convict was handed death penalty for murdering a woman in Naseerabad, along with Rs. 400,000.0 compensation and seven years imprisonment for destruction of evidence.
