RAWALPINDI, Apr 03 (APP):Rescue 1122 Murree organised a comprehensive mock exercise in the city under the Incident Command Post Management System to strengthen emergency preparedness and coordination, officials said.
The exercise was conducted on the directives of Dr Rizwan Naseer to enhance institutional readiness for potential emergencies.
During the drill, a simulated fire in a six-storey building, height rescue operations and provision of emergency medical care were demonstrated. Rescue teams responded promptly, brought the fire under control and safely evacuated all trapped individuals.
The injured were provided first aid and shifted to Civil Hospital Murree, while height rescue teams ensured timely evacuation of all affected persons.
Rescue teams from Kotli Sattian tehsil, along with volunteers, also participated in the exercise. District Emergency Officer Engineer Kamran Rashid led the operation, ensuring effective coordination among different units.
During the debriefing session, Kamran Rashid said such exercises aimed to prepare personnel for all kinds of emergencies and to further improve inter-agency coordination.
He added that Rescue 1122 Murree remained committed to protecting lives and property, and such activities helped enhance the professional capabilities of its staff.
