Security of educational institutions tightened in Punjab, new system introduced

LAHORE, Apr 03 (APP): It has been decided to further tighten the security of educational institutions in Punjab, under which teachers are being connected to a modern safety system.
According to Punjab Education Department sources, the process of connecting teachers to the Safe City system is going on rapidly, while panic buttons are also being installed in their mobile phones so that immediate help can be obtained in any emergency.
According to sources, the joint action plan of Willis, Safe City and the Home Department is being implemented rapidly. So far, more than 182,000 teachers, including Lahore, have benefited from this facility, while the target has been set to connect more than 300,000 teachers across the province to the Safe City network.
Officials say that in the next few months, all teachers will be made part of this modern security system. Along with this, CCTV cameras of A-category schools have also been linked to Safe City. Under the new system, security in educational institutions will be made more effective and teachers will be able to get immediate help by just pressing a button.
