Sindh Governor inaugurates Pakistan Travel Mart expo

KARACHI, Apr 03 (APP): Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi inaugurated the Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) 2026 at the Expo Center on Friday.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, he said Pakistan’s tourism holds a prominent position globally due to its unique culture, towering mountains, vast deserts, beautiful coastlines, and hospitable people. He added that promoting tourism will not only boost trade but also strengthen the country’s economy.

Nehal Hashmi emphasized that Pakistan’s development reflects the nation’s determination and that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the journey of progress continues.

Prior to his speech, the Governor Sindh officially opened the exhibition by pressing the inaugural button and later visited various stalls, interacting with participants.

He said that Pakistan and the world urgently need the promotion of trade and tourism. He highlighted that putting the country on the path of development is the government’s top priority, and practical measures are being taken for the welfare of the people. Despite challenging circumstances, Pakistan has sent a positive message to the world, emphasizing that its doors remain open.

Inviting the international community, Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi urged global visitors to come to Pakistan, promote trade and consider it their second home. He lauded the efforts of PTM 2026’s management, the business community, and the hotel industry, noting that the exhibition will play a vital role in advancing tourism.
He also affirmed that no conflict can hinder Pakistan’s progress, as the hearts of its people are filled with love for their homeland.
