Islamabad public transport to operate free for one month: Dr. Tariq

ISLAMABAD, Apr 03 (APP): Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary, announced on Friday that all public transport in Islamabad will operate free of charge starting tomorrow for a period of one month.

In a post on X, he said that, in a similar move, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has also announced free public transport services across the province.

Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Tariq Fazal said the measure aimed to provide relief to the public during difficult times, with the government committed to offering all possible support to ease citizens’ hardships.
