ISLAMABAD, Apr 03 (APP):The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) has warned of flash flooding in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from April 3 to 5, (Friday-Sunday) as heavy rains under an active westerly system threaten streams, nullahs, and low-lying urban areas.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 03 (APP):The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) has warned of flash flooding in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from April 3 to 5, (Friday-Sunday) as heavy rains under an active westerly system threaten streams, nullahs, and low-lying urban areas.
According to the National Disaster Management Authority’s NEOC alert issued on Friday, the districts at risk include Bannu, Tank, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, North and South Waziristan, Kurram, Karak, Orakzai, Kohat, Cherat, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Swabi, Charsadda, Dir, Chitral, Swat, Mohmand and Bajaur.
Flash flooding is likely in local streams, nullahs, and tributaries across southern, central, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with urban flooding also possible in low-lying areas of Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mardan, and adjoining districts.
