QUETTA, Apr 02 (APP): Parliamentary Secretary for Forests, Sardar Masood Loni on Thursday called on Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Balochistan, Imran Zarkoon, to apprise him of the prevailing flood situation in his constituency, District Dukki.
During the meeting, both sides held a detailed discussion on the overall situation, damages incurred, and the immediate challenges being faced by the affected population.
Sardar Masood Loni briefed the Principal Secretary on the losses caused by recent rains and flooding, highlighting the difficulties being faced by residents and stressing the need for urgent government intervention and relief measures.
Taking serious notice of the situation, Principal Secretary Imran Zarkoon directed the Director General PDMA, as well as divisional and district administrative officers, to ensure immediate response and effective relief operations in the affected areas. He emphasized that timely provision of assistance, including food and medical facilities to the affected people, must be ensured and that no negligence would be tolerated.
He further instructed the district administration to maintain continuous monitoring of the situation and carry out rescue and relief operations in a coordinated and efficient manner to alleviate the hardships of the affected population at the earliest. The Government of Balochistan remains committed to utilizing all available resources to provide relief to the affected communities and to effectively manage the flood situation, he said.
