ISLAMABAD, Apr 02 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have promoted 86 officials to higher ranks following a promotion committee meeting held on the special directions of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
An official told APP on Thursday that 18 head constables were promoted to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), while 16 ASIs were elevated to the rank of Sub-Inspector.
He said more than 49 constables were promoted to the rank of head constable, adding that three officials from ministerial staff were also promoted to higher ranks.
The official said the promotions were aimed at encouraging merit, boosting morale, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the police force.
IGP Rizvi directed all promoted officers to perform their duties with dedication and professionalism.
He emphasized that public service and facilitation must remain the top priority of police officers.
