Shipping Activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI, Apr 02 (APP):Two ships, CMA CGM Ganges and Solar Catie carrying Container and Palm oil, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Wednesday.

Meanwhile two more ships, Liefde and Fairchem Katana carrying Soya Bean Seed and Bunkering also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.

Seven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them container carrier ‘CMA CGM Ganges’ left the port on today morning, while another ship ‘Bao Shun’ expected to sail on Thursday.

Cargo volume of 109,856 tones comprising 58,365 tones imports cargo and 51,491 export cargo carried in 2,428 Containers (38 TEUs Imports & 2,930 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

Nine ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Fairchem Katana, Hong Young Chang Sheng and Kassiopi-GR carrying Bunkering, Container and Coal expected to take berth at MW-1, QICT and PIBT on Thursday.
