A Chinese delegation visited the Federal Urdu University to explore avenues for enhanced collaboration in the fields of telecommunication and natural medicine.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 1 (APP):A Chinese delegation visited the Federal Urdu University to explore avenues for enhanced collaboration in the fields of telecommunication and natural medicine.

The delegation was accompanied by a team from Qarshi Foundation, led by its Chief Executive, Hassan Qarshi.

A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari.

During the session, the Vice Chancellor delivered a comprehensive presentation to both delegations, highlighting that the University is offering quality education in disciplines such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Telecommunication, and Pharmacy.

Dr. Shinwari further shared that the University has established modern laboratories and is actively pursuing collaborations with various companies and industries to expand its lab infrastructure.

Under this initiative, the university will provide space, while partnering organizations will supply the necessary equipment.
The Vice Chancellor also informed the participants about the establishment of a Botanical garden at the University, aimed at cultivating rare plant species found in Pakistan.

Emphasizing the potential of natural medicine, he noted that traditional healing practices, practiced globally for thousands of years, offer significant opportunities for the welfare of humanity.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Executive of Qarshi Foundation stated that their organization is exporting products to multiple countries and expressed interest in enhancing both the quality and volume of production in collaboration with the university.

The visiting delegation was also given a tour of the Qarshi Clinic established at the University, along with the Department of Pharmacy. At the conclusion of the visit, shields were presented to the distinguished guests.

The meeting was attended by Campus Incharge Dr. Saba Bashir, along with faculty members and administrative officials.
