Rawalpindi Traffic Police make arrangements to ease flow as schools reopen

The Rawalpindi City Traffic Police have put in place special arrangements to ensure smooth traffic flow on roads and around educational institutions following the resumption of academic activities.

RAWALPINDI, Apr 01 (APP):The Rawalpindi City Traffic Police have put in place special arrangements to ensure smooth traffic flow on roads and around educational institutions following the resumption of academic activities.

A CTP spokesman on Wednesday said that, on the directives of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam, additional personnel were deployed at key points, with forklifters to remove illegally parked vehicles and enforce no-parking rules during school and college hours.

The CTO directed circle and sector in-charges to remain present at key locations, particularly outside educational institutions, to manage traffic during peak hours. He also instructed them to coordinate with school administrations to clearly designate pick-and-drop lanes and ensure single-line parking at closing times.

CTO Farhan Aslam said the traffic police were making all-out efforts to maintain uninterrupted traffic flow across the district and warned that action would continue against those causing obstructions or inconvenience to other road users.

He urged citizens to follow traffic rules while driving and demonstrate responsible behaviour on the roads.
