ISLAMABAD, Apr 01 (APP):A petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) against alleged arrest of the husband of a domestic worker who was acquitted in a theft case of worth Rs250 million.
Domestic worker Rukhsana Bibi, while filing a petition against alleged detention of her husband Muddasir, took the stand that I myself saw that people dressed in police uniform abducted her husband. There is no case against my husband, nor was he presented in any court.
A false case of theft was registered against me, from which the court acquitted me, she said. The petition has requested that my husband be rescued from the illegal custody and a court bailiff should be appointed to recover him.
