Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday took notice of a reported power outage incident in the emergency operation theatre of Services Hospital Lahore, where a surgical procedure was allegedly conducted using mobile phone light.

LAHORE, Apr 01 (APP): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday took notice of a reported power outage incident in the emergency operation theatre of Services Hospital Lahore, where a surgical procedure was allegedly conducted using mobile phone light.
Expressing serious concern over the incident, the CM sought an immediate report from the Health Department to ascertain facts and ensure accountability.
She directed that all relevant details be thoroughly examined and responsibility be fixed, if any negligence is established.
CM Maryam Nawaz said that uninterrupted power supply in emergency and critical care units is essential and must be ensured at all costs. She further instructed authorities to strengthen backup arrangements in all major hospitals across Punjab to prevent such occurrences in the future.
