KP Excise Department continues crackdown on tax defaulters
PESHAWAR, Apr 01 (APP):Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, continued its crackdown against property tax defaulters by sealing multiple defaulting units during special operations in the districts of Abbottabad and Swabi.
According to details received from the department, a special drive was carried out in the Qalandarabad area of Abbottabad under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer Ammar Jadoon, targeting major property tax defaulters. Several tax units were sealed under legal provisions after repeated notices failed to secure payment of outstanding dues.
Similarly, in Swabi, action was taken against property tax defaulters in the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer Shakeel Khan, where multiple units were sealed over non-payment despite repeated notices.
The Excise Department has urged property owners to clear their outstanding property tax liabilities on time to avoid legal action, penalties and possible sealing of their properties.
The department has maintained that such operations would continue across the province without discrimination to ensure effective tax recovery.
