RAWALPINDI, Apr 01 (APP):District Emergency Service, Rescue-1122 in Murree provided timely emergency services to 1,957 victims during the month of March, according to the monthly performance report released here on Wednesday.
District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 said the Command and Control Room received 1,907 emergency calls last month. Of the 1,957 victims assisted, 1,018 were shifted to various hospitals in Murree district after receiving first aid, while 748 received on-spot medical assistance. Seventeen people lost their lives in various accidents.
The emergency calls included 130 road traffic accidents, 13 fire incidents, 152 fall-from-height cases, 6 fight incidents, 1,242 medical emergencies, and 190 other emergencies.
Under the Patient Transfer Service, 174 critically ill patients were safely shifted from Murree hospitals to tertiary care facilities in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
