Gold prices surge sharply by Rs.15,300 per tola

ISLAMABAD, Apr 1 (APP):Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a significant surge on Wednesday, as rate of 24-karat gold per tola jumped to Rs. 494,062, marking a sharp increase of Rs. 15,300 in a single day from previous day’s Rs.478,762, according to the latest rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 13,117 to Rs. 423,578 from 419,461 while 22-karat gold increased by Rs.12, 024 to Rs. 388,293 from Rs.376,269.
In the international market, gold prices also climbed, reaching $4,713 per ounce, with a gain of $153 from previous day’s $4,560.
Silver prices followed the upward trend in the domestic market. The price of silver per tola increased to Rs. 7,984, up by Rs. 200, while 10 grams of silver were recorded at Rs. 6,844, showing a rise of Rs. 171. International silver prices also edged higher to $75, gaining $2.
