RAWALPINDI, Mar 31 (APP):Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah, Patron-in-Chief of Idara Taleemat-e-Islamia, has voiced concern over the rapid decline of moral and social values in contemporary society, urging people to follow the Seerat of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) for societal reform.
Addressing a weekly gathering of Zikr and Dars-e-Quran on Tuesday, he said respect for humanity and the sanctity of revered personalities was diminishing, describing the trend as highly alarming. He highlighted the exemplary lives of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), including Hazrat Imam Hasan (AS), Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and Hazrat Syeda Zainab (AS), as guiding lights, urging people to embrace patience, steadfastness, justice and truthfulness.
He described the Karbala incident as an eternal benchmark between truth and falsehood and stressed the need for unity, tolerance and adherence to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. He also emphasised transforming mosques into centres of societal reform, promoting religious education for women, and expressing solidarity with oppressed humanity.
A large number of scholars and religious figures attended the gathering. Special prayers were offered for Pakistan’s stability, the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and the prosperity of brotherly Islamic countries, particularly Iran.
