Chairing a meeting at the Central Police Office, Tahir reviewed security arrangements in banking institutions with senior police officials, including Additional IG Javed Ali Mehr, DIG Quetta Imran Shaukat, AIG Operations Fazil Shah, SSP Quetta Muhammad Asif Khan, and heads of various banks.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the installation and effective use of modern security equipment in banks.

Discussions focused on ensuring that existing systems remain fully operational at all times to enhance the safety of both financial institutions and their customers.

The IG stressed the importance of adopting advanced technological solutions to meet evolving security challenges. He highlighted the need to secure banking services, particularly ATM facilities used by citizens, and called for improved coordination between mobile police patrols and local police stations to ensure rapid response in case of emergencies..
