BOI minister discuss promotion of investment in Pakistan with Chinese delegation

ISLAMABAD, Mar 31 (APP):Federal Minister for the Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh held an important meeting with a high-level Chinese delegation from Kunlun Group and Oasis Group, during which detailed discussions were held on promoting investment in Pakistan and enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
During the meeting, the federal minister apprised the Chinese investors of the vast investment opportunities available in Pakistan and said that the government is taking robust measures to promote foreign investment.
He added that Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is taking a special interest in providing maximum facilitation to Chinese investors.
Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh termed Pak-China friendship a matter of pride for both countries and invited Chinese companies to relocate their industrial units to Pakistan.
He also gave a detailed briefing to the delegation on investment opportunities in Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
The federal minister assured the delegation of full cooperation and all possible facilitation, stating that this is the best time for investment between Pakistan and China.
On the occasion, Kunlun Group and Oasis Group agreed to enhance cooperation in agriculture, energy, and other sectors.
The meeting described the Oasis Sino-Pak Global Village project as an important step toward industrial development.
Furthermore, progress on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Kunlun Group and Oasis Group in September 2025 was also reviewed.
The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary, Irfa Iqbal, DG Mahmood Tufail, and other senior officials.
The federal minister reiterated that the Board of Investment remains committed to facilitating investors and promoting a business-friendly environment in the country.
