DPO Kohat reviews check post construction, orders timely completion; Police crack down on aerial firing

KOHAT, Mar 31 (APP): District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat Shehbaz Elahi visited Bannu Phatak and Kagazai check posts to inspect ongoing construction work and review progress.

During the visit, SHO Cantt Ayatullah Babar briefed the DPO on construction standards and security measures being implemented. The DPO directed officials to ensure timely completion of the projects and
emphasized that the check posts must be equipped with modern facilities to strengthen crime prevention and effective monitoring of entry and exit routes.

Meanwhile, in line with the DPO’s directives, Kohat police intensified action against aerial firing. SHO Saddar Noor Muhammad, acting swiftly, arrested two suspects, Ahmad Ali and Iftikhar, red-handed for
resorting to aerial firing. Weapons were also recovered from their possession.

Police reiterated that aerial firing is a serious offense posing grave risks to human lives, and strict action is being taken against violators without discrimination. Citizens have been urged to uphold
the law during celebrations and avoid any unlawful acts.
