PPAF playing vital role in improving lives of poor in rural areas of Balochistan: Governor

Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Monday said that the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) is playing a vital role in improving the lives of poor and vulnerable communities in Balochistan province, especially in rural areas.

QUETTA, Mar 30 (APP):Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel on Monday said that the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) is playing a vital role in improving the lives of poor and vulnerable communities in Balochistan province, especially in rural areas.

He expressed these views while talking to Dr. Abdul Rehman Khan, Provincial Coordinator of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund.

The Governor said that all efforts to provide access to resources and services to help people recover from poverty deserve appreciation, saying that in addition, the province is yielding very positive results in improving value chains and market linkages in the agriculture and livestock sectors.

Governor Mandokhel urged the PPAF to support the provision of basic amenities in remote and backward areas of the province so that poverty and backwardness could be eradicated.

He said that the land of Balochistan is more beneficial for livestock and the livelihood of a large part of our total population is associated with livestock, but due to lack of rains and drought for the past several decades, livestock has suffered a lot.

The Governor said that as a result of global warming, the major responsibility for the gradual increase in the average temperature of the entire planet Earth and the harmful aspects that are occurring lies with the developed industrialized countries, but their negative effects are being felt by all countries around the world.
