Women’s empowerment stands atop priorities of the incumbent AJK govt : PM Faisal Rathore

MIRPUR, Mar 30 (APP): Azad Jammu & Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has reaffirmed his government’s resolve to continue taking all possible steps for the empowerment of women in Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
He expressed these remarks during a meeting with his party’s Women’s Wing President and former Deputy Speaker of the AJK Legislative Assembly Ms. Shaheen Kausar Dar at Jammu Kashmir House in the federal metropolis Sunday, an APP AJK correspondent reports, quoting authoritative official sources of the AJK government Sunday.
?He further stated that empowering women and providing them with maximum opportunities to participate in the political process were among the PPP’s key priorities. the sources later told the news agency.
Faisal asserted that his Pakistan Peoples Party AJK stands as a grassroots party in which women have always played a crucial role to secure and safeguard due rights of the womenfolk at each level.
The prime minister, Rathore, said that in view of the upcoming general elections in AJK, it was essential to further strengthen and organize the Women’s Wing so that it could play a full role in the party’s success.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on making the Women’s Wing more active and effective, strengthening party organization, and enhancing its role across Azad Kashmir in the context of the upcoming elections.
Ms. Shaheen Kausar Dar congratulated the Prime Minister on performing Umrah.  She also briefed the Prime Minister on the party’s organizational structure and its activities, stating that the organizational process across Azad Jammu Kashmir will soon be completed.
