RAWALPINDI, Mar 30 (APP):Murree Road, the main artery of the garrison city, is presenting a refreshing scenic look as the green belts of Rehmanabad’s old median are adorned with colourful seasonal flowers, creating vibrant scenes and enhancing the landscape.
“The credit goes to the Horticulture Agency (HA) Rawalpindi, whose staff have been putting in all their efforts to create vibrant scenes for residents and enhance the city’s landscape,” a Horticulture Agency spokesman said on Monday.
The initiative, carried out on the directives of Managing Director Horticulture Agency Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, involved plantation of seasonal flowers under a special campaign aimed at beautifying the main road.
“Blooming flower beds and neatly maintained green belts along the Rehmanabad stretch are presenting a pleasant visual outlook,” the spokesman said. He added the effort had not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of Murree Road but also contributed to providing a cleaner and more refreshing environment for residents.
The initiative was part of ongoing measures to promote a better recreational atmosphere and improve the city’s environmental outlook, he said.
HA Managing Director Ranjha said the agency was actively working to beautify green belts, parks and highways across the city, adding that such initiatives would continue to make Rawalpindi greener and more attractive.
Residents appreciated the move, saying the fresh plantation and blooming flowers had added to the city’s charm and encouraged a healthier and more positive lifestyle.
