Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Monday issued a comprehensive traffic advisory urging citizens to adopt precautionary measures during rainfall to avoid accidents and ensure smooth flow of traffic in the federal capital.

ISLAMABAD, Mar 30 (APP):Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Monday issued a comprehensive traffic advisory urging citizens to adopt precautionary measures during rainfall to avoid accidents and ensure smooth flow of traffic in the federal capital.
An ITP official told APP that rain may cause slippery roads and slow-moving traffic, increasing the risk of accidents if proper care is not taken.
He said motorists should use fog lights during heavy rain and keep their speed under control to maintain safe driving conditions.
He said drivers and motorcyclists must strictly follow their lanes and ensure the use of side mirrors and indicators while travelling to avoid collisions.
He said motorcyclists should remain in the extreme left lane and drive at a slow speed to ensure their safety as well as that of others on the road.
He said ITP officers are present on various roads to facilitate and guide citizens during rain.
He said citizens can contact the traffic helpline 1915 or emergency helpline 15 for any assistance or guidance.
