The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested six suspects, including a woman, and seized 16.28 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs1.9 million in five operations conducted across the country.

RAWALPINDI, Mar 24 (APP): The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested six suspects, including a woman, and seized 16.28 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs1.9 million in five operations conducted across the country.
According to an ANF spokesperson, the operations targeted domestic, inter-provincial and international drug trafficking networks.
In Hyderabad, officials recovered 12 kg of hashish from a woman near a shopping mall and took her into custody. In a separate operation near a railway station on Multan Road in Lahore, 92 capsules containing 530 grams of methamphetamine (ice) were seized from a vehicle, and two suspects were arrested.
At Islamabad International Airport, ANF personnel intercepted a passenger travelling to Abu Dhabi and recovered 600 grams of hashish concealed in his shoes.
In inter-provincial operations near the Islamabad Toll Plaza, 2.4 kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle, and one suspect was apprehended. In another action at the same location, 750 grams of methamphetamine were seized from a vehicle, and the accused was arrested.
The spokesperson said cases had been registered against all arrested individuals under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997 (CNSA), and further investigations were underway.
