ISLAMABAD, Mar 23 (APP): Thousands of people continued visiting three major parks in Islamabad on the third day of Eid-ul-Fitr, as the district administration remained active in the field to review arrangements and ensure public access to facilities.

Crowds were seen at Lake View Park, Daman-e-Koh and Shakarparian National Park, where families gathered for outings and leisure activities. The administration had made arrangements at these locations to manage the flow of visitors and provide basic services.

On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Assistant Commissioners visited parks and other public spots throughout the day. They monitored arrangements and met police and district administration staff deployed on duty during Eid. Officials also exchanged Eid greetings with personnel working in the field.

During the visits, the Assistant Commissioners reviewed parking management, security measures and other public facilities. They checked whether visitors were being facilitated properly and whether the available resources were being used as planned.

The district administration said that steps were in place to manage traffic on roads leading to these parks. Special measures were also being implemented to prevent one-wheeling and unsafe driving on main roads during Eid holidays. Teams remained deployed at key points to monitor movement and respond if needed.

Officials said the aim was to ensure that families could spend time at public places without disruption. The administration added that coordination between police and field staff was maintained throughout the day to handle crowds and maintain order.

In addition, strict implementation of the “families only” policy was ensured at family parks. Authorities said entry rules were being followed to maintain a controlled environment for visitors.

The Deputy Commissioner Islamabad directed that all possible steps should be taken to provide safe and accessible recreational facilities to the public during Eid. Field officers were instructed to remain present at key locations and continue monitoring throughout the holidays.

The administration stated that these efforts would continue for the remaining days of Eid to manage crowds and ensure public convenience at recreational sites across the city.
