Eid-ul-Fitr marked with religious fervour in Sargodha

SARGODHA, Mar 21 (APP):Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated across the district with religious fervour on Saturday,as thousands offered prayers at mosques, Eidgahs and open spaces in towns and villages.

Ulema,in their sermons,highlighted the significance of the festival and urged people to promote unity,tolerance and compassion in society.

Among those who celebrated Eid in the district were former special assistant to the prime minister Chaudhry Hamid Hameed, Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi,Federal Parliamentary Secretary Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti and Provincial Minister for Communication Suhaib Bharth.

Special prayers were also offered for the country’s peace, progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile,the district administration,including Sargodha Police and Rescue 1122, made elaborate security arrangements to ensure peaceful observance of the festival.
