PLOVDIV, Mar 18 (BTA/APP): In 2025, over 4,400 Bulgarian and foreign hunters took part in organised hunting tourism activities, generating nearly EUR 3.8 million in income, Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Nikolay Vassilev said Wednesday during the official opening of the Nature. Hunting. Fishing and Flower Spring exhibitions at the Plovdiv International Fair.
Vassilev pointed out that the exhibitions present the most modern and innovative solutions for the protection and development of natural resources, for the reasonable and responsible use of national natural resources. He noted that the Nature. Hunting. Fishing exhibition provides an opportunity for specialists in forestry, hunting and fisheries from the state, municipal and private sectors to exchange opinions and ideas and share good practices.
“The state hunting farms in particular clearly demonstrate the excellent exterior and trophy qualities of the game and the uniqueness of the Bulgarian nature”, he emphasized, pointing out that Bulgaria remains a leader in terms of trophy qualities of the game, which gives the country reason to initiate talks on organizing a World Expo in 2031.
