KOHAT, Mar 18 (APP):The authorities have imposed Section 144 for 15 days to maintain public order during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr and Chand Raat celebrations.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz said the restrictions, which take immediate effect, include a ban on the sale and use of firecrackers and toy guns, the public display or carrying of weapons, aerial firing, and one-wheeling.

The order also prohibits swimming and boating in dams, rivers, canals and other water bodies.

The officials said the measures were intended to protect lives and property and prevent any incidents that could disrupt public peace.
