Termez to host the Uzbekistan – Russia: A Strategic Partnership in the Eurasian Space Conference

TASHKENT, March 17 (UzA/APP) : On March 30-31, Termez will host the Uzbekistan-Russia: A Strategic Partnership in the Eurasian Space Conference. The event will be organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Valdai Discussion Club.
The conference will bring together prominent experts from government agencies, analytical and research centers, and business circles in Uzbekistan and Russia. ISRS Director Eldor Aripov, Surkhandarya region’s Hokim Ulugbek Kasimov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov, First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan Oleg Pekos, Director of the Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Studies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan Umid Abidkhodjayev, and others will take part in the event.
The Russian delegation will include Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Alexei Yerkhov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Andrey Bystritsky, Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club, Fyodor Lukyanov, Research Director of the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club, Timofei Bordachev, Program Director of the Valdai Discussion Club, Herman Lerner, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan. and others.
The event aims to strengthen the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia, with an emphasis on promising areas of cooperation in the trade-economic, investment, transport, and technological spheres. The participants will focus on ensuring security and stability in Eurasia, developing industrial cooperation, investment, and digitalization, as well as transport connectivity and the formation of international trade infrastructure.
The organization of the interregional session, with the participation of the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan, will be a distinctive feature of the upcoming conference. During the discussion, representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan and the city of Termez will discuss current projects in industrial, investment, and humanitarian cooperation in a practical format and outline concrete steps to promote interregional cooperation.
