Governor Kundi discusses load management, recovery with PESCO CEO

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday held a meeting with Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO), Chief Executive Officer Akhtar Hameed Khan to discuss electricity-related issues, including load shedding and recovery in the province especially in southern districts.

PESHAWAR, Mar 16 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday held a meeting with Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO), Chief Executive Officer Akhtar Hameed Khan to discuss electricity-related issues, including load shedding and recovery in the province especially in southern districts.
During the meeting, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) PESCO briefed the Governor on the current power situation and ongoing measures to improve electricity supply in the areas.
He informed the Governor that the inauguration of the Bandkurai grid station would be held soon, which would help strengthen the electricity supply system in the area.
He said that additional transformers would be installed soon after Eid to address power load and improve distribution.
The CEO also said that some essential transformers were released on the spot to meet immediate requirements in different areas of the district.
He added that replacement of old and worn-out wires would also be carried out to ensure better and uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers.
Governor Kundi appreciated the efforts of PESCO and directed the authorities to take further steps to facilitate the public and ensure improvement in power supply and recovery.
The Governor said that resolving electricity issues in Dera Ismail Khan and surrounding areas was a priority, adding that timely provision of transformers and improvement in the distribution system would help reduce load shedding and provide relief to the public.
He emphasized that all available resources should be utilized to ensure a stable and reliable power supply for consumers.
