Belarus, Kyrgyzstan aim to step up interparliamentary, economic cooperation

MINSK, Mar 16 (BelTA/APP): Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kyrgyzstan Sergei Molunov met with newly elected Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh (Supreme Council) of Kyrgyzstan Marlen Mamataliyev on 16 March, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Foreign Affairs Ministry.

“The speaker noted the high level of cooperation between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, including through interparliamentary channels,” the ministry said.

Ambassador Sergei Molunov emphasized the importance of further strengthening interparliamentary ties through relevant committees and friendship groups. The discussion also touched upon intensifying bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan in various sectors of the economy, as well as expanding humanitarian cooperation.
