LAHORE, Mar 15 (APP):Scattered to moderate rain on Sunday turned the weather pleasant in the provincial capital, while the Met Office predicted similar conditions during the next 24 hours. The rain began early in the morning and continued intermittently until the filing of this report.
The scattered thundery showers, accompanied by a gentle breeze, brought down the rising temperatures to around 20°C, providing much-needed relief from the recent warm spell. Citizens experienced noticeably cooler conditions as clouds persisted over the city, with chances of more rain.
Met officials said that a westerly wave was affecting the western and upper parts of the country and was likely to persist in the upper regions until tonight. They added that mainly dry weather was expected in most parts of the country. However, partly cloudy conditions with light rain, wind and thunderstorms were likely at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
