Rain in city turns weather pleasant

LAHORE, Mar 15 (APP): Heavy rains lashed various areas of the city on Sunday, making the weather pleasant.
The rain was recorded in Ferozepur Road, Samanabad, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Mazang, Sabzazar, Awan Town, Karim Block, Gulberg, Model Town, Johar Town, Iqbal Town, Defense and Canal Road.
According to the Meteorological Department, this series of rains may continue intermittently, due to which temperature had dropped significantly. Due to cool winds, citizens welcomed the pleasant change in the weather.
According to the Met department, the minimum temperature of the city was recorded at 17 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is likely to go up to 25 degrees Celsius.
According to the department, intermittent rain is likely during the next 24 hours and the weather in the city is expected to remain partly cloudy.
Meanwhile, the WASA and the district administration alerted staff for immediate drainage of water from low-lying areas, while citizens have been instructed to avoid unnecessary travel.
