Maldives cricket team suffers second defeat in T20 match

LAHORE, Oct 19 (APP):The visiting Maldives cricket team suffered the second successive defeat of their Pakistan tour when Pakistan Lions Club thrashed them with 8 wickets in a T20 match at the Aitchison college ground here on Friday.
The touring sides lost the first match of their trip by identical margin to NCA Development squad.
Maldives team is on a nine-day tour of Pakistan to play five T20 matches to prepare for ACC Trophy.
Put into bat, the visiting side was bowled out at paltry 80 in allotted 20 overs. Adil Naz ripped through opponents batting with skillful bowling snapping up five wickets for just 6 runs. Abu Bakar took two wickets for 14 runs.
Ismail Ali 20, 1×4, 1×6, 24 balls was the top scorer from Maldives whose second second highest run getter was Mohammad Rishwan 19, 1×4, 1×6, 29 balls.
Pak Lions Club answered with 83-2 in 14.3 overs. Raees Ahmed 35, 5x4s, 31 balls, Afaq Ahmed 3, 1×6, 37 balls set up home side victory. The pair extended maximum punishment to the rivals bowlers smashing boundaries and sixes for the entertainment of a handful crowd.
