DIG Tariq, SSP Qazi inspect police help desks in city markets

ISLAMABAD, Mar 15 (APP): Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, along with SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, visited various commercial centers and markets in the federal capital and inspected police help desks established to assist citizens.
An official told APP on Sunday that the senior officers reviewed arrangements made to facilitate citizens and ensure effective policing in busy market areas.
During the visit, they inspected the police help desks set up to provide guidance and immediate assistance to the public.

The officials said that police help desks had been established within the jurisdictions of all police stations so that citizens could receive timely facilitation and support.
They added that lady police officers had also been deployed at the help desks to address issues faced by women and ensure prompt assistance.
The help desks would also assist in taking action against professional beggars, provide information to citizens and ensure immediate help in case of emergencies.
The officers reiterated that Islamabad Police remained committed to ensuring the safety and facilitation of citizens in markets and public places.
