Police on Sunday foiled a smuggling bid and recovered 700 bags of flour during a joint operation against hoarders and smugglers in the Dajal area of district Bhakkar.

SARGODHA, Mar 15 (APP): Police on Sunday foiled a smuggling bid and recovered 700 bags of flour during a joint operation against hoarders and smugglers in the Dajal area of district Bhakkar.
According to a police spokesperson, the operation was conducted under the supervision of SHO Sadar Bhakkar Inspector Kazim Hussain while In-charge Dajal Check Post Sub-Inspector Dr. Muhammad Ikram led the police team along with Para Force personnel.
The team intercepted the illegal consignment and seized 700 bags of flour which were intended for smuggling out of the district.
The spokesperson stated that the recovered flour was handed over to the Food Department after the completion of legal formalities.
He further mentioned that the crackdown against smugglers and hoarders in the Sargodha division would continue to ensure the availability of essential commodities for the public at fixed rates.
