Secretary Excise discusses proposed amendments in CVT, PRM systems

PESHAWAR, Mar 14 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Secretary Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Khalid Ilyas, Saturday, discussed matters related to Capital Value Tax (CVT) and proposed amendments concerning Personalized Registration Mark (PRM) system.

Chairing a meeting, Secretary Excise Khalid Ilyas stated that reform process within Excise Department was ongoing to ensure good governance, transparency, and public facilitation.

He said that proposed amendments related to CVT and PRM primarily aim to make system simple and accessible to public.

Director General Excise Abdul Halim Khan, while briefing, said that department is taking practical steps to provide improved services to citizens through modern technology and digital systems.

The meeting also agreed that all measures would be taken, keeping public interest in view, to promote ease and trust in tax system.

Final recommendations regarding proposed amendments will be compiled and forwarded to concerned forums so that necessary actions can be taken at the earliest.
