The Rawalpindi Police apprehended eight suspects belonging to four gangs allegedly involved in robbery, bike theft and housebreaking incidents, recovering six stolen motorcycles, cash, mobile phones and weapons.

RAWALPINDI, Mar 13 (APP): The Rawalpindi Police apprehended eight suspects belonging to four gangs allegedly involved in robbery, bike theft and housebreaking incidents, recovering six stolen motorcycles, cash, mobile phones and weapons.

According to a police spokesman on Friday, the arrests were made during separate operations conducted in the Potohar and Rawal divisions.

In the Potohar Division, the Westridge Police rounded up a two-member gang and recovered two stolen motorcycles, six mobile phones worth over Rs150,000, cash amounting to Rs45,500 and weapons from their possession.

In another action, the Cantt Police apprehended two members of another gang of bike lifters, recovering two stolen two-wheelers and Rs 24,500 in cash.

Similarly, in the Rawal Division, the New Town Police detained three members of a gang of robbers and motorcycle thieves, seizing a snatched bike, weapons and Rs 44,000 obtained from the sale of snatched mobile phones.

The Ganjmandi Police also apprehended a suspect involved in motorcycle theft and other stealing incidents and recovered a stolen motorcycle and a mobile phone from him.
