President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday approved the upgradation of the civil award of former senator and senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party, the late Taj Haider, from Sitara-i-Imtiaz to Hilal-i-Imtiaz (posthumous) in recognition of his outstanding services to the country.

ISLAMABAD, Mar 13 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday approved the upgradation of the civil award of former senator and senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party, the late Taj Haider, from Sitara-i-Imtiaz to Hilal-i-Imtiaz (posthumous) in recognition of his outstanding services to the country.
The president approved the elevation of the award to honour the late leader’s significant contributions in the fields of politics, public service, and democratic struggle. The award will be conferred posthumously, acknowledging his decades-long dedication to national development and democratic values, a Presidency’s news release said.
