Rawalpindi Traffic Police pay tribute to martyred warden Naveed Khan

The Rawalpindi Traffic Police on Thursday paid tribute to martyred Traffic Warden Naveed Khan on the occasion of his death anniversary, with officers visiting his residence and grave to honour his sacrifice.

RAWALPINDI, Mar 12 (APP): The Rawalpindi Traffic Police on Thursday paid tribute to martyred Traffic Warden Naveed Khan on the occasion of his death anniversary, with officers visiting his residence and grave to honour his sacrifice.
According to a traffic police spokesman, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Traffic Mehrabad Tayyab Abbas, along with a large number of traffic wardens and traffic incharges, visited the house of the martyred warden and met his family on the special directions of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam.
They offered Fateha for the departed soul and laid a wreath on his grave, while a smartly turned-out police contingent presented a salute.
On behalf of the CTO, flowers were placed on the grave of the martyred warden and gifts were presented to his children.
The spokesman said Traffic Warden Naveed Khan was martyred on March 11, 2021 while performing his duty at a checkpoint near Carriage Factory after being targeted by assailants.
He was born on January 6, 1986 and had joined the traffic police as a traffic warden on October 25, 2007.
The spokesman said the martyred officer was known as a dedicated and courageous official who always performed his duties with honesty and commitment.
The CTO, in his remarks, said the entire traffic police department stood with the family of the martyred warden.
“We neither forget our martyrs nor leave their families alone,” he said, adding that the department and the country stood strong because of the sacrifices rendered by such brave personnel.
