ISLAMABAD, Mar 12 (APP): The administration of Islamabad Capital Territory has announced March 13, 2026, as a public holiday for all educational institutions in the federal capital.
The decision applies to schools, colleges and universities in both public and private sectors operating within the limits of Islamabad.
According to an official notification issued by the Islamabad Capital Territory administration, Friday, March 13, 2026, will be observed as a public holiday for all educational institutions across the federal capital.
The order covers all public and private sector institutions, including schools, colleges and universities. It will apply to institutions operating within the revenue limits of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
The notification states that the holiday will be observed across the entire education sector in Islamabad on the specified date. As a result, academic activities in educational institutions will remain suspended for the day.
The administration directed relevant authorities and institutions to ensure compliance with the notification. Students, teachers and administrative staff of schools, colleges and universities will observe the public holiday on March 13 in line with the government directive.
Regular academic activities are expected to resume in educational institutions after the holiday.
