DC reviews cleanliness, beautification work under “Suthra Punjab” initiative

In connection with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s ‘Suthra Punjab’ initiative, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza visited different areas of Bahawalpur city to review ongoing cleanliness and beautification measures. 

BAHAWALPUR, Mar 12 (APP): In connection with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s ‘Suthra Punjab’ initiative, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza visited different areas of Bahawalpur city to review ongoing cleanliness and beautification measures.
During the visit, the deputy commissioner inspected sanitation and renovation work being carried out in areas from Circular Road to Library Chowk and directed the officials concerned further to improve both the quality and pace of work to ensure a clean and pleasant environment for citizens.
He also inspected CM Chowk and reviewed ongoing work being carried out by the Parks and Horticulture Authority. The curbstones and footpaths have been painted, while directions were issued to further improve and beautify the city’s green belts. Syed Hassan Raza said providing the best civic facilities to citizens was a top priority of the district administration. He directed the authorities to improve sanitation arrangements further, remove encroachments, and take effective measures to ensure smooth flow of traffic. He also expressed the resolve to transform Bahawalpur into a model city.
Later, the deputy commissioner also visited DC Office Chowk and Haqi Centre and instructed officials to ensure proper maintenance of public squares and green belts. He emphasized that no compromise would be made on the quality of development work and that restoration and beautification projects across the city would be completed under the “Suthra Punjab” vision.
