The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has appealed to philanthropists and the business community to contribute generously to its Iftar Dastarkhwan initiative during the holy month of Ramazan.
RCCI serves Iftar to over 500 people daily, seeks donations to expand initiative
RAWALPINDI, Mar 12 (APP):The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has appealed to philanthropists and the business community to contribute generously to its Iftar Dastarkhwan initiative during the holy month of Ramazan.
According to the chamber, Ramazan is a time of self-accountability, gratitude and compassion, particularly for extending help to the underprivileged. Supporting those in need during this blessed month not only helps alleviate hardship but is also regarded as a means of purifying one’s wealth and seeking the mercy of Almighty Allah.
The RCCI said that more than 500 deserving people are provided with Iftar daily in a respectful manner under the Iftar Dastarkhwan programme. Contributions from donors will help expand the initiative and enable the organisers to facilitate a greater number of fasting individuals.
The chamber urged individuals and businesses to become part of the RCCI Iftar Dastarkhwan and help ensure that no one in the surrounding community remains hungry during the sacred month of Ramazan.
