ISLAMABAD, Mar 12 (APP):Veteran Lollywood actor Asim Bukhari passed away early on Thursday after being hospitalized for the past fifteen days due to prolonged health complications.
Family sources confirmed that he lapsed into coma on Wednesday night before passing away. His death has left fans and the showbiz industry deeply saddened.
The senior actor, known for his work across television, stage and films had been under treatment at a hospital for the past 15 days due to complications related to his illness, private media channels reported.
Asim Bukhari enjoyed a long and distinguished career in Pakistan’s entertainment industry. He earned recognition for his performances in numerous television dramas, stage productions and films and was widely regarded as a versatile performer.
In addition to acting, he also served as an acting teacher, mentoring many aspiring artists and contributing to the development of new talent in the industry.
Members of the showbiz fraternity paid glowing tributes to the veteran actor, remembering his dedication to the craft and his contributions to Pakistani entertainment.
Meanwhile, his son, Jalal Bukhari, is currently undergoing treatment for gallstones at a hospital in London. The timing of the actor’s funeral has not announced yet.
