LHC dismisses bail plea of accused in Greece boat tragedy case

LAHORE, Mar 10 (APP):The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday dismissed the bail petition of an accused involved in the Greece boat tragedy case due to non-prosecution.
Chief Justice Aalia Neelum heard the petition filed by accused Yasir. During the hearing, Rafaqat Dogar, Deputy Attorney General, appeared on behalf of the federal government. However, no counsel appeared to represent the accused.
Owing to the absence of the defence counsel, the court dismissed the bail application for non-prosecution.
According to case details, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) registered a case against the accused on December 18, 2024, in connection with the Greece boat tragedy. The accused was later arrested on February 20, 2025.
